  • SOUTH KOREA - Encouraging tungsten results

    Woulfe Mining Corp has received encouraging results from eight diamond drill holes of its phase 6 exploration drilling program on the Hangingwall Deposit (HW) at the Sangdong Tungsten Project. This infill drilling confirmed the predicted NI 43-101 inferred resource estimate from AMC Consultants’ 2014 geology block model.

  • SOUTH KOREA - Improvement at ZincOx plant

    ZincOx Resources reports a ‘dramatic turnaround’ in the performance of its Korean Recycling Plant (KRP) and expects further improvements soon. In the six months to June 30, throughput increased by 32% and the production of zinc in concentrate by 30% compared to the previous half.

  • SOUTH KOREA - Moland Production Improves

    NMC Resource Corporation increased production of molybdenum concentrate at the Moland mine to 213 tonnes during the March quarter, up from 172 tonnes in the first quarter of 2013. Ore mined increased from 58,480 tonnes to 78,020 tonnes, molybdenum sold increased from 223,267 pounds to 248,113 pounds and EBITDA increased from Can$413,848 to Can$434,586 despite a 12.8% drop in the realized price of molybdenum.

  • SOUTH KOREA - Placement funds for Sangdong work

    Woulfe Mining Corp has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to $4 million in convertible unsecured subordinated debentures at a price of $1000 per debenture. The company intends to use the net proceeds for completion of a proposed $6 million work program on the Sangdong Tungsten-Molybdenum Project.

  • SOUTH KOREA - Revised Sangdong tungsten estimate

    Woulfe Mining Corp has announced a revised mineral resource estimate for its Sangdong Tungsten Project. The company determined, after a detailed review during 2013 that it was urgent and necessary to reassess and de-risk the 2012 TetraTech feasibility study of the project.

    Woulfe Mining has been named as one of the TSX Venture Exchange’s Top 50 companies for 2013. The annual list ranks the strongest performers on the TSX Venture Exchange.

  • SOUTH KOREA - Woulfe terminates Almonty agreement

    Woulfe Mining Corp announces that the Board of Directors of the company has unanimously determined to terminate the letter agreement dated January 20, 2015, between the company and Almonty Industries Inc and the proposed merger transactions contemplated thereunder. The $150,000 bridge loan provided by Almonty will become due on April 30, 2015.

  • SOUTH KOREA - ZincOx plant close to full production

    ZincOx expects its Korean Recycling Plant (KRP), set to be Asia’s largest zinc recycling project, to reach full production over the next few months. The KRP is one of the largest electric arc furnace dust recycling facilities in the world and uses a new process to recover a high quality zinc oxide concentrate and an iron-bearing intermediate scrap substitute.

  • SOUTH KOREA – Sangdong study updated

    Woulfe Mining Corp announces completion of the final update to the feasibility study and de-risking of the Tetra Tech 2012 Feasibility Study on the Sangdong Tungsten-Molybdenum Project. The update required further diamond drilling to increase the mineral resources confidence.

  • Southern Gold buys South Korean assets

    A suite of high grade gold assets in South Korea are being acquired by Australian gold producer Southern Gold Limited. Most of the properties are historic underground or artisanal gold and silver workings, and some extend over a large footprint.
