The Centre for Mine Site Restoration (CMSR) aims to connect high-end science with on-ground practice in mining restoration, and to train the next generation of high-level researchers to be industry-ready.

Aggreko wins Rio Tinto power contract

Aggreko AusPac has won the contract to build and operate a new 20MW power station at Rio Tinto’s Amrun bauxite project in Far North Queensland. The A$2.6 billion project will extend mining activities on part of Rio Tinto’s existing lease south of the Embley River, between Weipa and Aurukun.
