Austmine, in association with Trade & Investment Queensland, is organizing the third Australian Mining Technology Mission to Kazakhstan from September 16-21 and is inviting Australian companies to participate.
The mission will participate in Kazakhstan’s premier mining exhibition, MiningWorld Central Asia 2012 in Almaty, from September 19-21. Austmine and Trade & Investment Queensland are staging the Australian Pavilion and are arranging meetings with Kazakhstan’s key mining companies including site visits to operations in the Karaganda region.
MiningWorld Central Asia is the largest international specialized exhibition for mining and processing of metals and minerals in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, annually uniting leading experts of a mining industry and representing a full spectrum of the equipment, technologies and services for a mining industry.
The 2011 event included 215 companies from 26 countries, such as Australia, Canada, China, Finland, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, Peru, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, UAE, UK, Ukraine and USA that attracted more than 3500 visitors.
With the Australian Pavilion in 2012 covering some 80 square metres, the delegate companies will have an adequate exposure to the international visitors from Kazakhstan and the region. The agenda will also include site visits and meetings with the leading companies, such as Kazakhmys, ENRC, Kazinc and Rio Tinto in Karaganda and in Almaty.
