EVENTS - Joy Global to showcase products at MINExpo
US-mining equipment manufacturer and service provider Joy Global says hundreds of delegates will be able to witness the company’s innovative products first hand at MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas.
The conference brings together 1800 exhibitors from across the world to showcase the latest solutions for mining challenges, electronic innovations for mining data processing and the range of haulage and mining equipment available from industry leaders.
MINExpo will be held from September 24-26 at the Las Vegas Convention Centre, with organizers expecting this year’s event to be the biggest to date.
Joy Global has combined forces with its businesses P&H Mining Equipment and JOY Mining Machinery to demonstrate the company’s focus on providing innovative mining products and systems aimed at making mining operations safer and more productive. The company says visitors to the Joy Global exhibit will be able to see real examples demonstrating the power of technology that transforms data into valuable knowledge, helping optimize machine and system performances.
Joy Global added world-class wheel loaders to its product portfolio during 2011, and it will feature this addition at MINExpo with a P&H LeTourneau-Series wheel loader on full display at the booth.
A high-production Joy low seam longwall system, complete with shearing machine, armoured face conveyor and roof supports will also be a feature of the exhibit. Underground room and pillar mining systems, including a Joy continuous miner applicable to a full spectrum of seam conditions are also expected to create interest from delegates.
Several more examples of advancing technology to help mines increase efficiency including an innovative P&H drill operator cab, the P&H LeTourneau-Series SR or Switched Reluctance motor technology, and new training simulators will be on display. The company is also establishing a central stage to feature its unparalleled direct service support.
Earlier this year, Joy Global was given approval to construct a purpose built ‘Smart Services’ centre in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. The facility will combine remote diagnostics, pre-emptive machine monitoring, predictive diagnostics, electronic servicing and automated service calls.
