SUPPLIER NEWS - Ventyx named Metals & Mining Company of 2012
Industrial software supplier Ventyx will take a top title at the Annual International Business Awards to honour outstanding business performance. The ‘Gold Stevie’ award for Company of the Year in the Metals and Mining category will go to Ventyx after consideration of more than 3200 entries.
The International Business Awards are judged by a panel of advisers and business professionals for the world’s leading companies.
“For more than three decades Ventyx has helped the world’s leading mining companies manage complicated, remote operations and quickly respond to ever-changing market conditions to maximize business performance,” says the company’s chief executive officer Jeff Ray.
“Today, 17 of the world’s 20 largest mining companies rely on our mining and enterprise applications. We are honoured to be named company of the year by such a distinguished panel of global business leaders.”
Jeff Ray says Ventyx has helped its customers bridge the gap between information technologies and operational technologies to effectively manage the intelligence of the combined systems. “This, in turn enables faster, smarter decision making in both daily mining operations and longer term planning strategies.”
The awards will be presented at a special ceremony at Seoul’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel in South Korea on October 15.
Ventyx was acquired by the ABB group in 2010, which is a global leader in power and automation technologies.
