COAL BLOCK EXPLORATION & MINING

Vedanta Resources Plc is a London listed FTSE top 100 diversified metals and mining group with revenues in excess of USD$6.5 billion. Its principal operations are located throughout India, with further operations in Zambia and Australia. The major metals produced are aluminum, copper, zinc and lead. Vedanta has also recently acquired Sesa Goa Limited, India"s largest producer exporter of iron ore.

Bharat Aluminum Company Ltd (BALCO) is a member of Vedanta Resources Plc and a leading integrated producer of Aluminum in India, with manufacturing assets located in Korba - Chhattisgarh. It has two smelters (0.1 mtpa & 0.25 mtpa) and two captive power plants (270 MW & 540 MW). A brownfield 0.65 mtpa smelter project and 1200 MW power project is under progress. We seek EOI for Exploration & Mining of a Coal Block in India from companies who are have between 10 - 15 years experience in coal mining and should be financially sound with international experience. The company should have a proven track record of mining at least 4 - 8 million tonnes per annum from a single mine with considerable experience in Open Cast & Underground mining.
