NICKEL - Results increase prospects at Scotia Project E-mail

Ongoing drilling at Breakaway Resources" Scotia Nickel Project in Western Australia, has intersected new nickel sulphide mineralization on the recently discovered Saints Western Contact Trend.

The results enhance the prospectivity of the Saints Region, 65km north of Kalgoorlie, and give further support to Breakaway assigning a high priority exploration focus to this area.

The discoveries confirm the potential and importance of the Western Contact Trend, located 350 metres west of the St Patricks and St Andrews nickel deposits on the parallel Eastern Contact Trend. Nickel sulphides have been intersected on the western mineralized trend in wide-spaced holes spanning a 2km strike extent. The mineralization remains open along strike to the north and south.

Considering the regional extent of known nickel mineralization on the two mineralized trends at Saints, and the fact that there has only been limited exploration carried out by previous explorers, Breakaway has initially adopted a broad drill hole spacing with the objective of locating the more significant accumulations of nickel mineralization in a shorter time frame before moving to close-spaced drilling to delineate individual deposits.

The intersections of mineralization recorded on the Western Contact trend include 0.61m @ 1.21% nickel from 198.8m, 0.65m @ 1.79% from 166.9m, 0.40m at 2.15% from 124.05m, 1m at 2.61% from 48.00m, and 1.9m at 3.10% from 78.75m, including 0.3m at 5.29% from 78.75m.

Breakaway's managing director Peter Buck says the Saints region is continuing to develop as a high-priority exploration target, with widespread nickel mineralization now confirmed on two major mineralized trends.
