CHINA - Jinfeng production affected by power restrictions E-mail

Power may not be available to Sino Gold’s Jinfeng operations until after the Chinese New Year holiday, possibly around February 21.

The company had previously been advised by authorities that work to the power lines and supply would be completed by January 28.

However, recent severe winter ice storms have impacted delivery of coal to power stations in southern China, resulting in electricity supplies being restricted by authorities in Guizhou Province.

Gold production will continue at the company’s flagship project during this period but will be less than previously forecast gold production for February of 12,700 ounces.

The company will advise the market as soon as full power to Jinfeng is restored.
