ZINC-COPPER-SILVER - High grade intersection from Victoria prospect |
The first diamond drill hole completed at Kagara’s Victoria prospect near Chillagoe in far north Queensland has returned a high grade zinc intersection.
The intersected of 26.84 metres from a depth of 176.56 metres assayed 6.0% zinc, 0.6% copper and 11 grams/tonne silver. Included within this outstanding intersection, which equates to an approximate true width of 20 metres, is 7.69 metres assaying 14.6% zinc from a depth of 176.56 metres. This intersection is particularly significant in that it was drilled beneath a number of shallow Reverse Circulation holes drilled in November 2005, which outlined a lower grade, narrower zone of mineralization over a 400 metre strike length. Kagara executive chairman Kim Robinson says Victoria is 5km due east of the Mungana treatment plant site and any ore discovered at Victoria would be ideal feed into the Mungana facility. “A second diamond drill rig has recently arrived to accelerate the pace of exploration at Victoria and further details will be provided as exploration proceeds.” www.kagara.com.au |
