Dynasty Gold has started a new US$1.47 million drill program at the Red Valley gold prospect in China. The exploration program is funded by AngloGold Ashanti and is being conducted by a joint Dynasty-AngloGold team. The program will include up to 5000 metres of diamond drilling on priority targets at the Red Valley and Xigou prospects.
The program is designed to test the complex thrust system which is believed to host a number of gold-bearing shear zones with the collective potential to host a significant gold system.
In addition to drilling, the exploration program will include geological mapping to constrain the Red Valley Duplex system and Xigou drill targets identified at the end of 2006; extending the ground magnetic survey across current drill targets; and ground truthing and following-up of regional geochemistry anomalies. Dynasty president and CEO Brian McEwen says: "We are pleased to be back with a sizeable program at Red Valley. Our results from last year allowed us to focus drilling on areas with the greatest potential for significant gold mineralization, so we will be eager to see the results of the drilling over the next several months." Dynasty Gold is a Canadian exploration company working in China with programs at three highly prospective gold properties and partnerships with AngloGold Ashanti and Avocet Mining. |
