Geoffrey Clifford has agreed to join the Fox Resources as an independent non-executive director.
Mr Clifford (56) has more than 25 years experience in senior accounting, finance, administration and company secretarial roles in the mining, retailing and wholesaling industries.
New CEO to head Australian Solomons Gold Former Asia Pacific Resources CEO John Bovard has been appointed to head Australian Solomons Gold following his appointment as CEO of the company. John Bovard takes over the role from Ron Douglas who recently stepped down due to family and personal matters. John Bovard currently holds the position of non-executive chairman with Axiom Mining Ltd, a Hong Kong based company listed on the ASX with active gold and copper exploration projects in Vietnam and Queensland. Australian Solomons Gold is developing the Gold Ridge Project, a former producing mine, located on Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands. The mine operated from August 1998 to June 2000 and produced approximately 210,000 ounces gold during this period. Australian Solomons Gold acquired the project in May 2005 and has recently completed a Bankable Feasibility Study to redevelop the Gold Ridge Project, which is expected to start operations by the second quarter of 2008. |
