East Asia Minerals continues to receive gold-bearing intercepts from drilling at its Abong and Sangihe projects in Indonesia as it moves towards NI43-101 resource estimates at the end of the year.
Results from recent drilling at the flat-lying, near-surface Abong jasperoid prospect in Aceh Province include 3.60 grams/tonne gold over 13.0 metres and 2.69 grams/tonne gold over 17.0 metres. Other results are: 1.10 grams/tonne gold over 15.0 metres, including 1.87 grams/tonne gold over 7.0 metres; and 2.11 grams/tonne gold over 7.0 metres, including 3.25 grams/tonne gold over 4.0 metres. Resource stage exploration drilling remains focused along the 3 x 1.5km Abong Corridor, where epithermal gold mineralization is controlled by late-stage open space infilling within an extensive flat-lying, outcropping/sub-cropping jasperoid ‘blanket’. The mineralized jasperoid has been outlined for greater than 1500 metres strike and up to 750 metres width, and is typically 10 to 15 metres thick. It remains open along the northwest-southeast strike direction and across strike in the southwest-northeast direction Continuing surface work has outlined the potential for an additional 1500 metres strike. Drilling in the northeast and south-central areas of the Binebase prospect at the Sangihe Property in North Sulawesi is defining the oxide gold outlines for the extensive near-surface Binebase-Bawone epithermal gold mineralization. New Binebase drill assays include: 48.6 metres from surface @ 0.32 grams/tonne gold and 5.54 grams/tonne silver and 45 metres from 154 metres @ 0.29 grams/tonne gold and 2.71 grams/tonne silver; 24.4 metres from surface @ 0.41 grams/tonne gold and 0.99 grams/tonne silver, including 4.5 metres from surface @ 0.67 grams/tonne gold and 0.69 grams/tonne silver; 53.25 metres from surface @ 0.58 grams/tonne gold and 22.71 grams/tonne silver, including 17 metres from surface @ 1.15 grams/tonne gold and 24.35 grams/tonne silver, and 18 metres from 65.5 metres @ 0.36 grams/tonne gold and 12.79 grams/tonne silver, including 4.5 metres from 65.5 metres @ 0.91 grams/tonne gold and 8.33 grams/tonne silver; 87.05 metres from surface @ 0.36 grams/tonne gold and 13.3 grams/tonne silver; 4 metres from surface @ 0.38 grams/tonne gold and 2.0 grams/tonne silver, and 18 metres from 8 metres @ 1.46 grams/tonne gold and 9.56 grams/tonne silver, and 27.9 metres from 29.6 metres @ 0.67 grams/tonne gold and 6.48 grams/tonne silver, including 5.95 metres from 45.55 metres @ 1.15 gram/tonne gold and 8.83 grams/tonne silver. Drilling at Binebase is increasingly segregating surface oxide gold mineralization from the underlying primary gold-silver mineralization in the northern Binebase area. Drilling will continue to test Binebase and Bawone, which remain open along strike and may be contiguous along the intervening 1.2km structural corridor. www.eaminerals.com |
