Philip Welten has been appointed Indo Mines managing director.

Philip Welten is a mining engineer with more than 28 years experience in a range of commodities including iron ore, gold, copper and uranium.

His role will be to progress the Jogyakarta ironsands project in Indonesia and deliver the bankable feasibility study and the subsequent development and commissioning of the project.

Gemcom appoints marketing vice president

Gemcom Software International has appointed Robert W. Selzler as company vice president of marketing, responsible for worldwide marketing. Robert Selzler was until recently, president of marketing for Mediabolic Inc which was acquired by Macrovision.

Gemcom CEO and president Rick Moignard says: "Gemcom has rounded out its management team to ensure that it capitalises on the investments it has made in expanding its global presence, solutions offering and our delivery capabilities".
