Nearly 2000 delegates and more than 250 exhibitors are in Beijing for China Mining 2007, Asia"s premier mining congress and exhibition, which runs for three days from November 13-15.

Hosted by China's Ministry of Land & Resources, China Mining 2007 is in its ninth year. Government Ministers and ambassadors as well as presidents and CEOs of mining companies from more than 40 countries are present.

China Mining 2007 comprises congress, exhibitions and featured events with the mineral focus on uranium.

The congress includes summits with a Minister's Forum, CEO Forum, sessions on 'Global Commodities Trends', and 'Chinese and International Mining Industry Trends' and a roundtable discussion on 'The Practice of China's Mining Policy'.

Investment and financing sessions include 'Mining and the Capital Markets', countries and regions forums, company presentations, 'The Valuation of Mining Projects' and 'Internationalization'.

Techniques and equipment sessions include 'Basic Geological Survey and the Achievement of Ore Prospecting', 'The Development and Use of Coalbed Methane in China', 'New Technology and Equipment in Geology and Mining.'

There will also be corporate social responsibility sessions looking at community development and mine safety.

Exhibitions include the Trade Show area, country pavilions, China Government area and dedicated Equipment Area. The exhibition area is 25% bigger than last year.

Featured events include awards dinner, mine site visit, students day, AuDITIONS Gold Show and Beijing 2008 Olympic Stadium visit.

Some organizations and companies will also have special receptions and workshops around China Mining, including a Canadian Mining Day and an Australian Mining Day.
