Deutz Power Systems Asia-Pacific in Singapore has become the second subsidiary after China to take care of Deutz customers in Asia.

Deutz Power Systems Asia-Pacific sells energy generation plants based on gas and diesel engines to all parts of Asia excluding China. The market reaches from Pakistan to the Philippines and from Japan to Indonesia.

The population of gas and diesel engines supervised by Deutz Power Systems Asia-Pacific has passed the 2500 MW mark. The range of applications varies from the energy supply of agricultural and industrial facilities over the utilization of mine gas from coal mines to combined heat and power plants for shopping centres.

In the 8-million strong metropolis of Jakarta, 12 TCG 2020 V20 gas engine gensets supply one of Indonesia's largest shopping malls with an electrical output of 20 MW power.

Additionally, a total electrical output of about 80 MW has already been installed in China and is supervised by Deutz Power Systems (Beijing).

Among projects conducted by Chinese subsidiary is the implementation of two combined heat and power plants for the energy and water supply of lithium mines. Three TCG 2032 V12 gensets in Dongtai and four TCG 2032 V16 gensets in Xitai generate 18 MW of electricity for the CITIC Guan project for the extraction of raw materials. The special characteristics of the location on the salt lake of Chaidam basin at an altitude of 3000 metres, far away from any energy supply, posed a major challenge for the plant setup.
