Encouraging gold and copper mineralization reports continue to be received from East Asia Minerals projects in Indonesia. At the Brown Sugar Zone of the Sangihe Project in North Sulawesi channel sampling in new trenches has extended the mineralization with 12.0 metres of 2.45 grams/tonne gold including 4.0 metres of 5.20 grams/tonne gold, and 10.0 metres of 2.65 grams/tonne gold.
The channel samples greater than 0.5 grams/tonne gold have been tested for cyanide leach recoveries and a comparison of gold in fire assay and gold in cyanide leach are encouraging. Sangihe drilling is progressing well and is intercepting mineralized and altered rock similar to that reported in historical drill holes. At the Abong prospect, Barisan 1 Property in Aceh, detailed historic exploration data for the sediment-hosted gold prospect, previously worked by North Limited and Rio Tinto, has been purchased and reviewed. In addition to East Asia results, the historic data identifies five mineralized zones. The best of these is the Sarah zone with historic channel sample results including 16.0 metres of 3.84 grams/tonne gold, 20 metres of 2.04 grams/tonne gold, and 16.0 metres of 3.68 grams/tonne gold. At the Narara 1 prospect in Aceh, historic grab samples are reported with bonanza epithermal gold grades, some with visible gold in hand specimen. These include 16.87grams/tonne gold, 129 grams/tonne, 22.6 grams/tonne, 21.5 grams/tonne and 54.9 grams/tonne. At the Miwah epithermal gold-copper project, previously worked by Highlands Gold, 91 rock channel and grab samples were collected by East Asia. Results include 6.0 metres of 3.63 grams/tonne gold, 6.5 metres of 2.66 grams/tonne, 30 metres of 1.12 grams/tonne and 12.0 metres of 1.33 grams/tonne. |
