Frontier Resources plans to advance its major Kodu project in Papua New Guinea delineating and expanding the existing resource base.

The Kodu project, located 55km north-east of Port Moresby, contains 507,000 tonnes of contained copper equivalent in 108 million tonnes of ore grading 0.47% copper equivalent (0.33% copper, 0.42 grams per tonne gold and 60ppm molybdenum).

The company says prospectivity for upgrading resources and additional nearby exploration potential are both very good.

The company says that subject to economic conditions and exploration results, it will undertake a pre-feasibility study to assess possible exploration and development paths forward. Only 16 drill holes have been completed to date. www.frontierresources.com.au
