Dynasty"s Hatu Property 2006 drill program has proved successful for the company and it is on target to upgrade the Qi-2 resource to measured and indicated resource status as a result of its infill drilling program. Dynasty president and CEO Brian McEwen says that defining additional high grade areas in the deposit has been one of the targets of the infill program to upgrade the Qi-2 resources.
Results from some of its drilling program have shown intersections of 5 metres grading 14.31 grams per tonne gold; 5 metres grading 3.60 grams/tonne gold and 1 metre grading 6.02 grams/tonne gold; 5 metres grading 8.55 grams per tonne gold; 14 metres grading 3.16 grams per tonne gold and 3 metres grading 6.59 grams/tonne gold; 7 metres grading 4.04 grams/tonne gold and 6 metres grading 3.28 grams/tonne gold. Dynasty and its joint venture partner, Avocet Mining PLC, have completed 46 reverse circulation and ten diamond drill holes so far this season, for a total of 8938 metres drilled.
Dynasty is looking forward to continued success with the drill program and is awaiting additional assay results as it works to upgrade the current resource to the measured and indicated category. Dynasty is currently in discussion with its Chinese partner to acquire the mining licence that sits over the majority of the Qi-2 resource area. The licence is currently held by an affiliate of the company's Chinese partner. This is in accordance with the company's pre-emptive rights as per the agreement signed in 2004 with Xinjiang Non-ferrous Metals Industry Group Co. Dynasty Gold Corporation is a leading Canadian gold exploration company in China with exploration programs at three highly prospective gold properties and partnerships with AngloGold Ashanti and Avocet Mining. The Qi-2 deposit is host to an Inferred Resource of 16.9 million tonnes at 1.68 grams per tonne gold with a 1.0 grams/tonne gold cut-off. |
