CONFERENCE - Mine Haulage Asia showcases global mining operators E-mail

In October, IBC Asia will host the inaugural Mine Haulage Asia conference in Singapore from October 9-11. The focus of the conference is looking at how to eliminate rising haulage costs through increased operational reliability, safety and productivity.

Mine haulage costs at open pit mines may represent 50% of the mining cost and sometimes as much as 25% of the total costs, which include processing, marketing and overheads.

Among the mining operators present at the conference presenting their own case studies on how they have improved haulage costs will be Kumba Resources, Konkola Copper Mines, PT Inco, PT Kaltim Prima Coal, Alcoa Alumina and PT Freeport Indonesia. Read more about the conference and its highlights in this week's e-news. For more information visit www.ibc-asia.com to register your interest in attending this conference.

Delegates to the conference can expect to gain insight into how to ensure haulage costs are low and stay low; gain fresh new strategies to counter tyre shortages; effectively manage the risk of fatigue within their organizations; minimize unnecessary haulage accidents, use conveyors to help increase productivity while simultaneously reduce costs; efficiently reduce the rising fuel cost in your haulage operations; hear about best practices in haulage road maintenance; gain a fresh perspective in haul truck and equipment maintenance; learn about the best haul truck cycle time management practices.
