MONGOLIA - ‘Positive engagement’ on Oyu Tolgoi

Turquoise Hill Resources is continuing discussions with the Government of Mongolia continue in a bid to reach agreement on outstanding issues at the Oyu Tolgoi Copper-Gold Project in the South Gobi region. The company says there is positive engagement between the parties and progress is being made.  1

MONGOLIA - Entree Gold has licence restrictions lifted

Entree Gold officials have confirmed that the temporary transfer restriction on two joint venture (JV) mining licences will be lifted. The company has also been notified that JV reserves deposits, approved in July 2009, will now stand as presented.  1

MONGOLIA - Golden Grouse licences revoked

Kincora Copper has received official notification from the Mineral Resources Authority of Mongolia (MRAM) that 106 mineral exploration licences, including the Tourmaline Hills and North Fox licences wholly owned by Kincora’s subsidiary company Golden Grouse LLC, have been revoked.  1

MONGOLIA - Haranga releases Selenge assessment results

An independent assessment of Haranga Resources’ Selenge Iron Ore Project economics has found that coarser, 150 micron grind concentrate, has proven superior to fine 75 micron grind concentrate, with reduced mill size and power consumption resulting in lower capital expenditure and operational expenditures.
