INDONESIA - Seven companies at top of poll

Seven Indonesian companies were named in Alpha Southeast Asia’s third annual poll to find South East Asia’s top companies. The awards are based on tallied votes among 473 investors, pension funds, hedge funds, equity and fixed income brokers and analysts with investment interests in the region. Companies in each country were ranked on their financial management, adherence to corporate governance, CSR and investor relations' strategy, transparency and disclosure.

INDONESIA – Cokal identifies new coking coal seams

Cokal Ltd has identified potential additional seams, the KLM seams, and confirmed that they contain high-quality premium coking coal at its Bumi Barito Mineral (BBM) project in Central Kalimantan. The new seams, which outcrop to the east of the high quality J seam, are the uppermost in the package of 13 seams mapped to date.

INVESTMENT – Northern Minerals secures further funds

Northern Minerals has secured a further Aus$4 million in interim funding from an entity controlled by a major shareholder, Australian Conglin International Investment Group (ACIIG), for extensive work under way at its Browns Range Heavy Rare Earth Project. This loan complements an interest-free Aus$4 million loan provided repayable in December 2013.
