In its eight year history Mines and Money Asia in Hong Kong has become the leading Pan-Asian mining investment conference and exhibition, annually bringing together 2000 attendees from 30 countries. This year's event will be held from April 5-7.
It is where mining and investment professionals come to do business in Asia and gives senior executives of global mining companies the opportunity to connect with resource investors based not just in Hong Kong but from Asia and all around the world for three days of learning, networking and deal-making.
There will be two forums on Tuesday, April 5 as a prelude to the main conference and exhibition - Around Asia Mining Investment in a Day and Canada Day.
For the conference on April 6 and 7 organisers have confirmed some big name speakers including Sprott Asset Management CEO Peter Grosskopf, Zijin Mining Group executive director and senior vice president George Fang, Hancock Prospecting director Ian Plimer, China Steel Corporation president Jyh-Yuh Sung, Noble Group Hard Commodities co-head Neil Dhar, Sailing Capital International director Xi Xi, The Fraser Institute's Centre for Natural Resource Studies senior director Kenneth Green, ECU chief technical strategist Robin Griffiths, Paradigm Securities executive chairman and head of resources Barry Dawes, Nautilus Minerals CFO Shontel Norgate and Blackham Resources managing director Bryan Dixon.
These speakers will join more than 100 mining experts who will debate, deliver and discuss key mining investment issues and opportunities to the 1200 strong audience of miners, financiers and service providers.
The exhibition will gives attendees face-to-face access to the senior executives of 150 global mining companies, enabling comprehensive exploration of global mining projects across all geographies and commodity classes.
