THE Mining Philippines Exhibition and Conference is the Philippines’ leading convention for people, companies and organisations interested in the investment environment of the country’s mining industry as well as in mineral exploration, development and utilisation.

Spread over three days, the annual conference in Manila has grown considerably since it began in 1997. Today it is the event of choice for investors and industry players wanting a better understanding of mining industry and the opportunities currently on offer in the country.

The 2017 conference will be in the Marriott Grand Ballroom at Sofitel Philippine Plaza in Manila from Tuesday, September 5 to Thursday, September 7.

With Indonesian nickel back in play and the Philippines’ minerals policy gaining some stability after the regime of Regina Paz Lopez as DENR Secretary, where does the Philippines’ mining industry go from here? The conference will address this important issue.

The enforcement of stringent environmental and sound regulations will define the future of Philippine mining. This year’s Mining Philippines conference thus promises to be even more noteworthy as policymakers and industry leaders are asked to share their thoughts on how the industry can grow under the current administration, the government’s industrialisation and infrastructure programs, and how investors can navigate the policy and regulatory landscape affecting Philippine mining.

Designed for resource investors to better understand current investment opportunities in the mining and exploration sector, the conference will bring experts in the field, policy makers, senior company executives and resource investors together in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting.

In addition to meeting hundreds of exhibitors and attendees, delegates will also have the opportunity to attend technical sessions, focused group discussions and important networking and social events.

The exhibition floor will feature listed resource companies showcasing their investment credentials as well as local and foreign suppliers highlighting their equipment, technical skills, and services via the exhibition and formal presentations at the conference.

Further information, including program details, is available on the website – www.chamberofmines.com.ph – while delegates will also be able to plan their time and build customised schedules into their Smartphone calendars.

Organisers conclude - Mining Philippines 2017 promises to be another unforgettable affair. We hope to see you there!
