IRVING Resources has received high-grade gold and silver grade assays from surface samples at the Omu Gold-Silver Project in Hokkaido. Samples have come from the Omui mine site and surrounding areas, and have returned up to 203 g/t gold and 5310 g/t silver.

THE 2017 field exploration program is under way at the Hokkaido gold prospects of Irving Resources. The company is exploring for high-grade epithermal precious metal vein mineralisation and initial efforts are focusing on the Omui mining concession and prospecting licence applications with the aim of better understanding the mineralised system.

SUMIKO Resources Exploration & Development Co Ltd (SRED) will manage and operate the Japanese drilling programs for Japan Gold Corp. To support the new contract, Japan Gold is purchasing three diamond core drill rigs, which will be operated by SRED.

JAPAN Gold has expanded its epithermal gold exploration portfolio with the addition of three new projects in the prospective Kitami Metallogenic Province of north Hokkaido. The Onne, Fujimi and Harutomi projects cover historic gold-silver and mercury mines in a prospective and largely underexplored area south of the company’s Ikutahara project.
