  • Angkor focus on Okalla West and Halo

    ANGKOR Gold Corp is utilizing the expertise of Beijing Explo-Tech Engineering Co (BETEC) of China during its 2015/16 exploration program in Cambodia. The work is targeting the Okalla West gold and Halo copper-molybdenum prospects and is aimed at expanding geophysical understanding of the 1500sqkm land package.

  • Angkor Gold deploys second rig

    ANGKOR Gold Corp is accelerating exploration of its Cambodian prospects with a second drill rig employed. The company has completed first phase drilling on its China Wall copper porphyry prospect in the Andong Meas tenement and drilling is now under way at the Pheap Vein prospect at the Katieng project on Banlung North tenement and at Craig’s Vein prospect in the Otray project area of Oyadao South tenement.

    BANTEAY, Cambodia: Accessing this village eight hours north of Phnom Penh is daunting on the best of days, not least during the rainy season. On the main artery from the capital, buses, cars and tractor-trailers alike can be seen moored in the mud, all resembling helplessly grounded ships. Another 30-minute ride can foil the hardiest off-road vehicle at the gruelling final stretch.

     
  • Angkor renews exploration licences

    ANGKOR Gold Corp has renewed five exploration licences for an initial three year term with the option to extend a further four years. The Cambodian Ministry of Mines renewed the licences, which total 983sqkm and cover the Andong Meas, Banlung, Koan Nheak, Oyadao and Oyadao South prospects.

    Angkor Gold Corp’s exploration tenements are in eastern Cambodia.ANGKOR Gold Corporation is increasing exploration programs in Ratanakiri province after signing a definitive agreement with Tohui Beishan Property Group Holding Limited (TG) of Hong Kong. Angkor has contracted Beijing Explo-Tech Engineering Co (BETEC) and the China Chemical Geology and Mine Bureau Shandong Geological Prospecting Institute (SGI), which have commenced work alongside Angkor’s geological team.

  • Bid to acquire Indochine assets

    INDOCHINE Mining has signed a Heads of Agreement with Capital Mining to sell a majority interest in its Cambodian gold exploration assets. Although the due diligence on the proposed sale has progressed significantly, Indochine says the transaction is taking longer to complete than originally envisaged.

  • Blue River agreement covers Banlung

    ANGKOR Gold Corp has entered into a definitive agreement with Blue River Resources to explore the Banlung tenement in Ratanakiri Province. The agreement initially gives Blue River the right to participate in up to a 50% interest of the Banlung licence after completion of a total investment of US$3.5 million in three portions of exploration expenditure over four years.

  • CAMBODIA - 1.2 million ounce gold resource at Okvau

    A new independent JORC-compliant indicated and inferred resource has been announced at Renaissance Minerals’ flagship Okvau gold deposit in eastern Cambodia. The company says the site hosts 15.6 million tonnes @ 2.4 grams/tonne gold for 1.2 million ounces of gold, of which 15.2 million tonnes @ 2.3 grams/tonne gold for 1.11 million ounces is in the indicated category.  1

    Geopacific Resources has received further bonanza gold and excellent copper results from drilling at its Kou Sa project in northern Cambodia. Preliminary gold assays from follow-up reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the 150 Prospect have extended the strike length of high grade gold values to at least 300 metres.

    Renaissance Minerals has announced further positive results from its most recent diamond drilling program at the 1.2 million ounce Okvau Gold Project. Drilling was done outside the current resource envelope, where a zone of high grade mineralization has been well defined.

    A RECENTLY completed drilling program at Renaissance Minerals’ Okvau Gold Project in Cambodia has returned outstanding initial results and has confirmed shallow growth potential. The program successfully targets a shallow strike extension of more than 200 metres beyond the existing 1.2 million ounce Okvau resource estimate.
