Intrepid Mines has appointed Scott Lowe as CEO and managing director following the resignation of Brad Gordon, who will further his career elsewhere. Scott Lowe was previously managing director and CEO of Blackthorn Resources and has held senior management roles with BHP Billiton, Peabody Pacific and P&O.
Nick Bowen has joined Orica Ltd as executive global head Mining Services, bringing with him a strong background in the mining and mining services sector spanning over 30 years. Most recently he was managing director at Macmahon Holdings, a position he held for 13 years. Orica has also appointed Craig Elkington as chief financial officer, replacing Noel Meehan.
Silvercorp Metals announces that Lorne Waldman has rejoined the company in the role of senior vice president after taking a one year sabbatical. Lorne Waldman has 16 years of experience in management of North American listed companies with operations in China.
Crazy Horse Resources announces that Jose D Leviste III has resigned as the company’s CEO. He remains as a director of the company. The company’s acting president and chairman Darryl Cardey will serve as interim CEO.

Centurion also announces that Adrian Rothwell has resigned as chief financial officer and Kenneth Cawkell, a current director, replaces him as interim CFO.
At the annual general meeting of Southern Arc Minerals, Khalid Al-Obaidli, chief investment officer of existing shareholder Qatar Mining, was elected to its board of directors, while Danny Lee was appointed as its new CFO. Qatar Mining purchased a 9.99% interest in Southern Arc in June 2011 through its subsidiary, Tadeen Cyprus.
