KGL Resources has appointed Brad Ellis, the nominee of its largest shareholder KMP Investments, as a director. Brad Ellis has more than 30 years’ experience in the mining industry as a metallurgist and process engineer, and is a partner in West Australian consultancy Scott Dalley Francks.


The Board of CSA Global has welcomed new non-executive chairman Peter Rossdeutscher, a well-known figure in the mining and resources industry as managing director of IntierraRMG and previously as chief executive of MICROMINE.


Majestic Gold has appointed Shaohui Chen as president and CEO on an interim basis. He has been affiliated with the company since 2007 as a director and previously as chief financial officer. He is general manager of Majestic’s Chinese subsidiary Yantai Zhongjia Mining Co. Majestic also announces the resignation of Lorne Hunter and Paul Reynolds as directors.


KBL Mining has appointed Greg Starr as a non-executive director. He has more than 30 years’ experience in corporate and operational financial management with the last 21 years focused on the resources and mining sector. He is managing director of Crater Gold and has previously been CEO/managing director of Golden China Resources, Michelago and Emperor Mines.


Morumbi Resources announces that Stephen Shefsky has resigned from the Board due to other commitments. Morumbi thanks him for his contributions to the company.


Galaxy Resources has announced changes to the Board with the appointment of several new directors and confirmation of Anthony Tse as managing director. As well as Anthony Tse, the Board now comprises Martin Rowley as independent non-executive chairman and director, Charles Whitfield as executive director, KC Kwan as independent non-executive director and Jian-Nan Zhang as non-executive director. Longstanding directors Craig Readhead and Robert Wanless have retired.


Minter Ellison Hong Kong announces that prominent major projects and infrastructure lawyer Rebecca Silli has joined the firm as a partner. She is a former partner of Gide Loyrette Nouel and has more than 13 years’ experience on the ground in China.


Coppermoly Ltd has appointed Michael Howard as a non-executive director. He is a mining engineer and has had extensive experience across many aspects of the industry from exploration through to operations, working in Australia, PNG and much of Asia.

ESCO Corporation announces that Jon Owens has been appointed chief operating officer in addition to his title of executive vice president. He will oversee the company’s three divisions - Mining, Construction & Industrial, and Oil & Gas. He joined ESCO in 1986 and has held several senior positions with the company.


MBMI Resources has appointed Chartered Accountant Eric Chan as chief financial officer, replacing Ming Shun Cheng who has resigned. Eric Chan is in public practice and has been providing advisory, assurance, non-assurance, financing, tax planning, and merger and acquisition services to businesses in Canada for more than 30 years.


China Shouguan Mining Corporation announces the appointment of Terry Tsao as chief financial officer after KF Lam resigned from the position to pursue other opportunities.


Asian Mineral Resources has appointed Evan Spencer as chief executive officer, replacing Simon Booth. He was previously chief operating officer for Kagara Ltd and has held a range of senior management and operational positions.


Woulfe Mining has appointed Michael Skead, Michel Gaucher and Benjamin Yi to its Board. It also advises that John Icke has resigned from the Board. Michael Skead is a geologist with more than 23 years’ international experience in mineral exploration. He was previously president and CEO of Ryan Gold Corp and VP of Banro Corp. Michel Gaucher is CEO and chairman of the Board of Dynamis Group. Benjamin Yi is an investment analyst with Goodman & Company, Investment Counsel.
