Independent resources-focused corporate advisory firm PCF Capital Group has strengthened its capital markets team with the appointment of Stuart Moran as executive director, Corporate Advisory and Equity Capital Markets. He is a highly experienced and well-credentialed investment banking and corporate finance executive who spent 18 years at Macquarie Group including 10 years as a division director at Macquarie Capital in Perth.
Following an $8.8 million capital raising, MacPhersons Resources announces the appointment of experienced corporate finance executive Peter Rozenauers as a non-executive director. He joined the Board as a representative of the company’s major shareholder, Orion Mine Finance, which subscribed for $6.3 million as part of the raising, increasing its holding to 19.9%.
Montreal-based Major Wire Industries has hired Alain Durand as vice president of International Sales. He has worked with Major Wire as a global market development consultant since May 2013 and in his new role, will develop and manage international markets for the company, in conjunction with Haver & Boecker.

Stewart Hart is a highly regarded financial and strategic leader, with more than 25 years’ experience in the resources industry. Most recently he was CFO at Western Power, with previous leadership roles at BHP Billiton. Registered psychologist Barry Bloch brings extensive human resources and organizational development experience with a career spanning more than 25 years. He has held roles with Worley Parsons, Heidrick & Struggles and Rio Tinto.
Gold producer Troy Resources has appointed Martin Purvis as CEO and managing director. He is a qualified mining engineer and was most recently CEO of Singapore-based Sakari Resources, a coal mining business demerged from Straits Resources in 2010. Martin Purvis started his career in the deep gold mines in South Africa as an Anglo American Scholar before moving to Gold Fields where he held a number of senior corporate management roles.
Aurelia Metals has appointed Tim Churcher as chief financial officer, based in the company’s head office in Orange, New South Wales. The appointment reflects the increased financial activity within the company, with Richard Willson continuing in his company secretarial and corporate roles.
