Voith keeps Chinese mine on the move

WHEN high reliability and power are needed, Chinese mining company Xishan Jinxing Energy Co relies on the fill-controlled 866 TPKL fluid coupling from Voith. Three fluid couplings are used underground in the powerful 4.8MW drive of the main belt conveyor in the Xiegou No 12 coal mine in Shanxi province.

Three 1600kW drives power the 1900 metre-long main inclined belt conveyor, which transports 3800 tonnes of coal every hour. Powerful and reliable couplings are required.
