American industrial products company ITT Corporation has acquired its long-time distributor of Goulds pumps in Australia. Perth-based Blakers Pumps Engineers supplies industrial pumps to the country’s chemical, oil and gas, mining and power industries.

ITT says the acquisition will strengthen its presence and capabilities in Australia and particularly within the oil, gas and mining industries.

Blakers supplies process and industrial quality pumping equipment across Australia and has service facilities in Gladstone, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

The company has tested, commissioned, packaged and serviced the Goulds range of horizontal and vertical heavy-duty centrifugal pumps for more than 30 years. It is a major supplier for the oil and gas, mining, chemical, refining, water treatment, pulp and paper industries in Australia. The company has also distributed ITT’s C’treat reverse osmosis watermakers to offshore platforms for fresh water supply.
