Australia’s mining expertise will be on show at Ozmine2012, the country’s key ASEAN mining exhibition and conference, which will be held in Jakarta at the Shangri La Hotel on April 17 and 18. The event is expected to draw more than 2500 trade visitors including from Australia and ASEAN countries.
The far western New South Wales town of Broken Hill will again host the Resources and Energy Symposium next month, bringing together some of Australia’s foremost experts on mining and economics.
The major prizes at the first Mines and Money Asia Mining Awards to honour the top executives and companies in exploration, mining and investment have gone to Australia and Mongolia.
The awards are industry nominated and shortlisted by a panel of international mining experts. They were announced at the 5th annual Mines and Money Hong Kong event on March 22.
The first gold production at Ramelius Resources’ Mt Magnet project in Western Australia has commenced and is already ramping up, within six months of mining operations starting at the site.
