Indonesia’s Forum for Mining Exploration and Development Association (EMDI) will host a breakfast seminar with heads of provincial mining departments later this month dealing with the topic of ‘overcoming barriers to exploration and regional investment’. The seminar will be on Tuesday, February 19, from 8am in The Asean Room at the Hotel Sultan in Jakarta.

EMD specialists will present information on new data pertaining to ‘barriers to the exploration pipeline and ‘Government regulations and the inevitable commodity cycle’. ESDM Department of East Java head Ir Dewi J Putriatni, who is also secretary-general of the Provincial Energy and Mining Association, will also discuss the ‘Status of lobbying for immediate release of approved provincial/local government mining areas to permit issuing of new IUPs’.

This information exchange and networking opportunity with invited provincial government officials attracted EMDI’s largest seminar attendance for 2012 and the organization is again expecting a big response this year. Pre-bookings are essential by February 14.
