Giles Everist has resigned from his position as chief financial officer of Australian mining services company Macmahon Holdings Ltd to spend more time with his family in the United Kingdom, given the current international travel limitations.
Peter Pollard has been appointed to replace Mr Everist as the company’s CFO. Mr Pollard has extensive experience with listed global companies in the engineering, construction and resources sectors, where he has held senior finance and executive roles in Australia, Asia and the Middle East.
Mr Pollard will work closely with Mr Everist over the coming months to ensure an orderly transition.
Macmahon Chief Executive Officer Michael Finnegan said Giles joined Macmahon in 2013 as a non-executive director and became CFO in 2017.
"On behalf of the company I would like to thank Giles for his significant contribution to the business over an extended period. He has been involved in executing a number of important transactions and has seen us through a period of significant growth and transformation."
“We are also delighted to attract a new CFO of Peter’s quality, who has a depth of experience and expertise with major construction and resources contractors. Peter will be a great addition to the team and I look forward to working with him in the future,” Mr Finnegan said.
