Furthering its mission to help mining operations digitise operations, Epiroc has taken over integrated planning, execution and analytics company MineRP.

MineRP, which is majority owned by Dundee Precious Metals, has offices in Australia, Africa, Canada and Chile. It supports large and medium-sized mines worldwide to strengthen and optimise operational efficiencies with its software platform solution that integrates all technical mining data and other information such as machine data and ERP systems.

No financial details were released, but Epiroc confirmed the transaction should be completed during the first half of next year. The business will become part of its Digital and Technology division.

“The combination of MineRP’s platform capabilities with Epiroc’s digital solutions, partners and global presence has the potential to transform the way that mines operate,” said Helena Hedblom, who serves as Epiroc president and CEO.
