Global engineer Metso Outotec said it has come to a distribution deal with Malaysia-based equipment supplier Power Ram.
Power Ram, which operates both in the mining and construction space in the country, will both sell and rent Metso Outotec mobile and stationary crushers and screens, and also provide spare parts, crusher wear parts and screening media for producers in Malaysia and Singapore.
It also will make available technical support and maintenance services contracts.
Shaun Fanning, the vice president for aggregates in the Asia Pacific, said that the deal gives it a stronger local presence and will help support customers throughout the lifecycle more efficiently.
“Availability of equipment and fast and easy access to service is very important for aggregate producers and contractors. We are very pleased to be able to combine our premium brand offering with Power Ram’s local expertise for the benefit of the customers," he added.
Ky Kok, director at Power Ram, said his company’s aim is to focus and support parts and service for existing customers while also exploring new opportunities and maintaining Metso Outotec’s presence in Malaysia and Singapore.
