After being on hold for nearly two years, the MINEX Kazakhstan Mining and Exploration Forum is returning to Nur-Sultan from 6-7 April.
According to organizers, the country’s government has restored visa-free travel for 57 countries and has lifted restrictions on major international events, permitting the event to proceed.
The theme for MINEX 2022 will be Sustainable Development, Decarbonisation and Industrial Transformation. It will be held as a hybrid gathering, combining in-person and remote participation.
Topics to be covered at the event: development of mineral resource potential; exploration – resources for growth and efficiency; decarbonisation and carbon neutrality; technological transformation and digitalisation; mining sustainable development strategies; technological and social aspects of mine closures; and mining ESG investment and financing.
