Four years on from its wet commissioning and plant refurbishment project, Westgold Resources’ Fortnum gold project has reached a production milestone: its 1,000th bar.

With the achievement, the company said its total produced from its May 2017 recommissioning to 26 June was about 287,559 ounces.

Managing Director Wayne Bramwell called the pour record significant.

“We acknowledge all the Fortnum team, past and present who have set the project on the path to this milestone and look forward to this small but dynamic team kicking more goals in the future,” he added.

Fortnum, or FGO, is located approximately 150 kilometres northwest of Meekatharra, Western Australia, and represents the northernmost group of Westgold’s assets.
