Australian miner Tombola Gold said it has recorded first material from its Comstock and Shamrock properties, part of the Mt. Freda complex in western Queensland, to the Great Australian Mine (GAM) plant.

tombolaOfficials for the company said crushing and processing will commence this month, as the plant recommissioning is on schedule and well advanced, and it is still on track for first gold pour this month as well.

The first delivery via its cartage contractor was 90,000 tonnes, and its haulage plan includes a seven-day-per-week operation.

“Today marks a significant milestone,” Managing Director Byron Miles said.

“We’ve achieved significant milestones over the 2022 calendar year, which have laid a solid foundation for a very bright 2023.”
