China’s Ningbo Lygend Resources Technology has awarded Metso Outotec with an order for 25 thickener units for its nickel laterite HPAL (high pressure acid leaching) project on Obi island in Indonesia.

The OEM did not disclose the order value but said it was booked in its Minerals’ fourth-quarter order intake.

Scope of delivery includes several Planet Positive thickening products, including High Rate, High Compression, and Paste Thickening technologies equipped with Reactorwell feed system where applicable.

Metso Outotec has delivered over 2,400 thickeners to its customers worldwide.
