Global engineering group SRG has completed an acquisition of Queensland, Australia-based engineering products business Bartek.
SRG managing director David Macgeorge said the takeover lined up with the company’s objective to expand its business domestically as well as internationally.
The deal for Bartek, which supplies engineered couplers, precast ferrules, starter bars, threaded anchors and rebar threading services to clients across Australia and New Zealand, structured as an asset purchase transaction, was effective 1 December.
“I am particularly pleased that under ownership, we will be able to leverage the Bartek product offering and well-established international supply chain to continue to grow SRG Global’s engineered products business and deliver against a key element of the leadership phase of our strategy,” Macgeorge said.
He added that the addition of the new company will also expand its product range for the company’s engineered products business.
No financial details of the deal were released.
