Axiom Mining has received further significant results from a resource definition drilling program on Isabel Nickel Project in the Solomon Islands with thick mineralization defined.
The project team has completed 225 holes and nearly 3000 metres of drilling in the current drilling program.
Highlights from the latest drilling results are: 15.5 metres from surface @ 1.66% nickel, including 10 metres from 3 metres @ 2.00%; 17 metres from 1 metre @ 1.69%, including 12 metres from 5 metres @ 1.96%; 19 metres from surface @ 1.62%, including 14 metres from 1 metre @ 1.89%; 14 metres from surface @ 1.53%, including 6 metres from 5 metres @ 2.30%; 15 metres from surface @ 1.66%, including 10 metres from 2 metres @ 1.87%; and 17 metres from surface @ 1.52%, including 7 metres from 8 metres @ 2.17%.
Axiom CEO Ryan Mount says, “We continue to define this exciting ore body and are pleased to report such significant thicknesses of mineralization. The results of nearly 20 metres in thickness at high grades confirm our confidence of delivering a premium product into the nickel ore market.”
Mineralization at Kolosori Ridge is now shown to extend to the east, beyond current drilling with significant intersections in two holes. Similarly further drilling will be required to test extensions to the southeast of two holes and to the northwest of another two.
Axiom Mining focuses on tapping into the resource potential within the mineral-rich Pacific Rim. Through dedication to forging strong bonds and relationships with the local communities and governments where it operates, Axiom has built a diversified portfolio of exploration tenements in the Asia Pacific region. This includes a majority interest in the Isabel nickel deposits in the Solomon Islands.
