NSL Consolidated expects to transition from commissioning to commencement of production ramp-up before Christmas at its Phase Two Wet Beneficiation Plant at the Kurnool iron ore beneficiation project in Andhra Pradesh, India. The Kurnool project is supporting the company’s iron ore mines at nearby Kuja and Mangal.
The ASX-listed company has achieved a number of key milestones in the commissioning process since the beginning of December.
Ball mill run times have increased according to the commissioning schedule with eight hour tests to occur this week. Optimisation of the ball mill has been occurring with the focus on finished particle size.
NSL has completed commissioning of the classifier along with the conveyor system. Other commissioning completed recently includes the low intensity magnetic separation, the material handling system and the plant based pump systems.
The company is installing the recently arrived high volume variable speed feed and reticulation pumps. Installation of these pumps will allow for completion of the high intensity magnetic separation commissioning.
This, in turn, will allow for the transition from commissioning to commencement of production ramp-up at the wet beneficiation plant.
