The stockpiling of concentrate represents the first utilisation of the Karumba Port Facility for zinc production since the Century Zinc Mine was put on care & maintenance in Q1 2016. The recent achievements by the Company also confirm the operational suitability of the concentrate slurry pipeline for the transport of concentrate from the Lawn Hill mine site to the Port.
The successful dewatering, filtering and stockpiling of saleable concentrate at Karumba also allows the Company to receive revenue from sales of concentrate in the September quarter of 2018.
