Barrick Gold Corporation announced the passing of the Company’s Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Peter Munk.
Munk founded Barrick in 1983 and built it into the world’s largest gold mining company in less than twenty-five years.
MICROMINE
MICROMINE appointed Amelie St-Onge to the position of Regional Manager – Canada. Ms St-Onge brings with her a wealth of experience across business development, consulting, senior management, industry development and international project finance.
Techenomics
Sugarkhorloo E has stood down from the position of Country Manager due to ill health. Tumenjargal Myagmarsuren has been promoted to the position of Operations manager for Techenomics Mongolia and will replace Sugrarkhorloo E as the officer in charge of our UB Office.
Otgontuya Bayarkhuu has been promoted to the position of laboratory supervisor, with Lkhagvasuren Turbat promoted and seconded to the parent company Techenomics International to fill the new role of Blue Oceans Development supervisor.
Intermin Resources Limited
Executive Director Lorry Hughes has tendered his resignation from the Company effective 31 January 2018 to take on an executive position in a new exploration Company.
Grant Haywood was promoted to the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) effective immediately.
Broken Hill Prospecting
Trangie Johnston was named as Managing Director of Broken Hill Prospecting Limited, adding to his current role as CEO. Mr Johnston will take up his new post effective immediately. Mr Johnston will continue playing an active role in the Thackaringa Joint Venture with Cobalt Blue Holdings Ltd (COB).
Besra Gold
Besra Gold has announced that that Pangaea Holdings has exercised its right to appoint a second member to the board of Besra Gold, and that John Terry has been appointed.
Mr Terry is a fully qualified UK trained accountant with extensive experience in audit, financial control and offshore financial services.
Besra Gold also advises that it has received the resignation of Kevin Tomlinson as a Director of the Company. Mr Tomlinson has served as a director and Chairman of the company since his appointment on 3 April 2017.
PT Gulf
Bpk. Fofo Sariaatmadja and Bpk. Chairoel Jul Naro were appointed as Commissioners and Bpk. Johanes Susilo as a Director of PT Gulf.
Bpk. Fofo Sariaatmadja currently serves as Chairman and CEO of PT JTS, as well as Commissioner at PT Elang Makhota Teknologi Tbk. Bpk. Fofo completed his studies at the University of New South Wales, earning a Master of Engineering Science (Electrical & Digital Communication) degree in 1987 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours, Electrical) degree in 1985.
Bpk. Naro currently serves as advisor to PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium Persero (INALUM), Indonesia’s first and largest state-owned enterprise within the aluminium industry, and PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI), the major operator of public railways in Indonesia.

GCL has announced the appointment of Eric Luo as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 5, 2018.
Mr. Luo was nominated for Asian CEO of the Year in 2014 at Power and Electricity World Asia in recognition of his leadership in transforming Wuxi Suntech and Shunfeng International Clean Energy (SFCE) into leading clean energy solution providers.
Tenova Metals
Roberto Pancaldi, current Tenova Metals Chief Operating Officer, has become the new Tenova Metals CEO, assuming the role of Andrea Rocca, who, after five years in Tenova, has taken new responsibilities in Tecpetrol, another company of the Techint Group.
Pancaldi joined the Techint Group as Process Engineer in 1988 and has spent his entire career in Techint and then in Tenova. He held various positions of leadership in different functions and business units of the Metals Division, contributing actively to the development and expansion of the company.
Aldridge Minerals Inc
Aldridge Minerals announced the appointment of Jeremy South and Gage Jull as independent directors to the Company’s board of directors (the “Board”).
Jeremy and Gage bring a wealth of mining and capital markets experience to Aldridge, with a focus on advancing the development of the Yenipazar Project.
Mr. South is currently Managing Partner of a Canadian-based private equity group. He has over 30 years of experience in M&A, capital markets and private equity.
Mr. Jull is a co-founder and Principal of Bordeaux Capital. He has over two decades of experience in corporate finance covering the oil and gas, fertiliser and agriculture, mining, technology and industrial sectors.
Lincoln Minerals Limited
The Board of Lincoln Minerals has advised that Kee Saw has been appointed as Non-Executive Director to the Board of the Company and that Dr Yihao (Eric) Zhang had resigned as Non- Executive Director.
Mr Kee Guan Saw is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is the current President of the Chinese Chamber of Commerce Victoria Inc.

Michael Rosengren was appointed as the new Managing Director of Realm Resources, effective 8 January 2018, replacing Glen Lewis who stepped down from the Managing Director in August 2017 on the grounds if ill health.
Nusantara Resources
Nusantara has appointed Derek Humphry as Chief Financial Officer. Derek brings a wealth of experience with financial management of resources companies during feasibility studies, financing and development of mines. Derek will take over the Chief Financial Officer role from Craig Smyth who will transition back to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Lion Selection Group Limited.
Nusantara has also advised Robin Widdup was appointed as a non-executive director. Robin is the founder and a director of Nusantara’s largest shareholder, Lion Selection Group Limited.
