THE Indonesian Government is still focused on development of downstream processing and value adding to the nation’s mineral resources despite relaxing regulations restricting the exports of some raw minerals. This focus makes the Regional Technical Conference (RTC) Mineral Processing 2017 event a must for those interested in benefiting from value adding opportunities.

The event on Thursday, November 16 at Dharmawangsa Hotel in Jakarta will be the latest in the RTC series organised by the team that publishes The ASIA Miner magazine and online news service. There will also be a Djakarta Mining Club meeting in the evening following the conference.

Processing is an important aspect for the entire mining industry, particularly as it struggles to overcome the difficult downtime when optimisation and greater productivity is not just necessary but vital.

RTC Mineral Processing 2017 will enable participants to learn about mineral processing technologies and services aimed at improving mining operations. It will bring together government, decision makers, equipment and technology providers to facilitate interactive learning and business opportunities.

Speakers will include Diemme Filtration’s Fabio Paris, FELUWA’s Gerald Tychtl and AIT Clean Tech EA’s Robert Davico.

Sponsors include Aqseptance Group, AIT and FELUWA. Aqseptence Group manufactures a wide range of overhead and side beam chamber filter presses for solid/liquid separation and high rate thickeners under the Diemme® Filtration brand. Diemme Filtration filter presses and thickeners are acknowledged as being among world-leading technologies in the field of solid liquid separation for industrial processes.

AIT has proven technology, the Clean Tech system, for treating waste streams from mining and smelting operations. The system converts potentially hazardous waste materials into environmentally inert slags, while recovering any valuable metal content. AIT Clean Tech EA Furnaces are able to smelt directly metal fines, dusts and ores.

FELUWA Pumpen GmbH specialises in the development and design, production, international sales and service of pumps for media which contain solids and are difficult to pump. Wherever abrasive, aggressive and toxic fluids and slurries are conveyed, the hermetically sealed, oscillating displacement pumps from FELUWA are recommended and used.
